Challenges.
So in band, there's this thing where the chair lower than you, can challenge you to a duel basically, and one is the victor and one loses. Now I'm first chair, and my good friend is second, he was being all buddy buddy and then he just dropped a bomb. I got new music today for our spring concert and I said, "Hey cool, a solo!"
Him: Won't be your solo for long, I'm going to challenge you, and steal your chair.
I felt so betrayed... and then he proceeded to say
Him: I've been planning this for a while, I was waiting. I wanted to do it earlier, but we were too busy with festival, our teacher said no. Plus, you don't even deserve the chair, I'm going to wreck you (lacrosse reference) Talking all this smack.
It got me really down, and I felt like I was betrayed. My mom said something good about this though she told me, "Now you see the world for what it is. Everyone is human, and no matter how close you think you are, there's always something they want, and will try to take from you..." I think this applies a lot, maybe not to everyone, but a lot.
I've had an expirience with God recently, yesterday to be in fact. I've been putting off reading the gospels, 'cause it's borring reading the same time over and over sometimes, But yesterday I started up on chap. 7 of John, where I left off. If you've been reading my blogs, I've been talking about how I didn't know how to determine if it was from me, or from the Spirit, and things of that nature, and the chapter had a section all about it. God is so GREAT. This happened to me twice, this being the second. I think the more I read, the more I learn... Which is true about all subjects with text books, but sometimes you feel so... Encouraged I guess, like it was personal... I love finding little things like that, it made my night. (8
Wow, like 4 blog posts in a row... I'm on a r0ll.
